Opening day for the Minnesota Twins failed to disappoint. It’s a great time see the crowd play keep-away from the ushers with a beach ball, to eat hot dogs from water that isn’t old yet, and to watch dip shits like this one (click here) run out on the field and get rolled by security. Oh yeah, and some people actually go to watch the game.
Baseball season also provides us a glimpse of new marketing ideas and tactics. Dodge is once again putting a little money behind the 200-foot ad space in right field. So much so, that they must not have any money left to pay for decent copywriting. Check out this ad for the Nitro: “It’s a Hit!” C’mon! Is that the best they could come up with? Be careful using puns when writing ads. It’s just lazy. If you want to see some good advertising, check out these ads created by Periscope for the Minnesota Twins.
