Seems lots of folks are in an uproar out east over the prospect of the new Giants/Jets stadium being named after Allianz, the insurance company that insured Auschwitz, according to a story in yesterday’s new York Daily News. How about calling it Seven County Staduim, Because ALL of us are paying for it!!!!! GO TWINS!!!

I absolutely DESPISE corporate names to ballparks. I especially despise the idea of a company getting naming rights to the park when my tax dollars are paying for it. If any thing it should be something non-corporate but related to Minnesota.

Too bad we can’t call it the Pillsbury Doughboy Dome. How about the ‘Pillsbury Ballpark’, but there is a ring to Land o’ Lakes Park…
